Terms of Service

Effective September 23, 2026

These terms cover repair and diagnostic work by OTM Mechanic (On The Move Mobile Mechanic) and use of otm-mechanic.com. Booking a visit or having work done means you agree to them.

Diagnostic and call-out fees

• A standard diagnostic visit is $80: a $40 call-out plus $40 to diagnose. If you have me perform the repair, $40 is credited toward it.
• A roadside call-out is $85 plus the $40 diagnostic.
• The diagnostic fee pays for the time spent finding the problem and is owed whether or not you go ahead with the repair.

Labor-only service and your parts

OTM Mechanic charges for labor. After diagnosis, I'll tell you what parts are needed, and you buy them. Because I don't sell the parts, their quality, fit, and warranty are between you and the seller. If a part you supplied turns out to be wrong or defective, the extra labor to remove and replace it is billed as new work.

Estimates

Repair quotes are based on what the diagnosis shows. Seized bolts, broken fasteners, or problems hidden until parts come off can change the job. If that happens, I'll stop and talk it through with you before doing more work.

The work site

• The vehicle needs to be somewhere it's legal and safe to work on, with your permission or the property owner's. Apartment complexes and HOAs sometimes restrict repairs, so please check first.
• I can decline or stop a job if the location, weather, or vehicle condition makes it unsafe. If I've already arrived, the call-out fee still applies.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is finished.

Warranty

Any warranty on my workmanship is the one stated in writing on your invoice. Parts are covered only by their manufacturer or seller.

Existing conditions

Older and high-mileage vehicles can have worn, rusted, or previously damaged parts. I'm not responsible for failures of components I didn't work on, or for existing problems that come to light during a repair.

Limit of liability

To the extent Texas law allows, my liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. This doesn't limit any rights you have that can't be waived by law.

Governing law
